NOTICE: CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF DIRECTOR TO THE SPORTHAMILTON BOARD OF DIRECTORS
- Any sport association, team or organization from the Hamilton community that is registered with SPORTHAMILTON is deemed a member of SPORTHAMILTON and therefore eligible to nominate an individual to the BOARD OF DIRECTORS
- Nominations are currently open for the 2013-2014 SPORTHAMILTON Board of Directors and must be submitted no later than Monday February 4, 2013 11:59 pm for consideration.
- Election of the SPORTHAMILTON Board of Directors will take place at the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday March 5, 2013 6:30pm at Westmount Recreation Centre on Lynbrook Drive, Hamilton in the Board Room
- Voting will take place by the current SPORTHAMILTON Board of Directors
CRITERIA AND EXPECTATIONS FOR NOMINATION TO SPORTHAMILTON BOARD OF DIRECTORS
- any individual who is 18 years of age or older, in good standing with their sport affiliated group and with SPORTHAMILTON, is a resident of the City of Hamilton and/or involved in a Hamilton community based sport group
- Directors are expected to follow the SPORTHAMILTON Code of Conduct: trust and support one another as individuals, actively participate in SPORTHAMILTON initiatives and provide honest and constructive feedback, share expertise, information and resources, be ambassadors/advocates of SPORTHAMILTON, work together in a co-operative environment, celebrate achievements, be open to and embrace change, demonstrate the responsibilities, privileges and values of leadership
- There are a minimum of 4 Board of Director meetings held throughout the year and 4- 5 SPORTHAMILTON sponsored events that Board member are expected to attend
- Board of Director positions are a 2 year term of office
Please submit in writing to info@sporthamilton.com outlining your involvement in sport, your specific skills and contribution that you would like to bring and your personal interest in becoming a member of the SPORTHAMILTON Board of Directors.
