International Children’s Games
Team Hamilton won the gold medal in women's basketball at the International Children's Games in Athens, Greece, this past June. With only seven players compared to their competition’s eight, the girls played true unselfish basketball. An enormous amount of character and determination was demonstrated throughout the tournament as the team wore down their opponents in the second half of every game. This is the second straight time that a team from Hamilton has been entered in this tournament and has come home with gold, having won in 2006 in Bangkok, Thailand.
